Urgent maintenance work will be carried out on the skyline server on Saturday, April 3rd, 2021. Due to the urgency it was not possible to announce this earlier.

The work starts at 08:45 UTC + 2 and takes about 45 minutes.

During this time it can happen that the website and the Crew Center do not work, SkyCARS and Pireps are also affected.

If someone is flying during this time, please wait until 09:00 UTC + 2 to send the pirep. If there are problems, this can also be submitted manually.

Am Samstag den 03.04.2021 werden dringende Wartungsarbeiten an dem skyline Server durchgeführt. Aufgrund der Dringlichkeit war es nicht möglich dies früher bekannt zu geben.

Die Arbeiten starten um 08:45 UTC+2 und dauern etwa 45min.

In dieser Zeit kann es vorkommen das die Webseite sowie das Crew Center nicht funktionieren, davon betroffen ist auch das SkyCARS und Pireps.

Sollte in dieser Zeit jemand gerade am Fliegen sein, bitte mit dem Absenden des Pireps bis 09:00 UTC+2 warten. Sollte es zu Problemen kommen, kann dieser auch manuell nachgereicht werden.

Unser Webserver ist nun doch etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Deshalb wird es Zeit für einen neuen.

Am Freitag den 19.06.2020 ab 10:00 bis 17:00 findet der Umzug statt. In dieser Zeit wird es nicht möglich seine Flüge zu Buchen oder sich einzuloggen.

The skyline is moving !!
 

Our webserver is getting a bit old now. So it's time for a new one.

The move will take place on Friday, June 19th, 2020 from 10:00 to 17:00. During this time it will not be possible to book flights or log in.

Summer begins in just a few days and we released the new summer flight plan for 2020.

With the already released skyHOLIDAY! flights, you are now free to choose out of 516 included flights. The Dash is back too! We added new destinations like Honolulu but also small German domestic flights. We hope that you have a lot of fun with this new flights. Hopefully we meet for a few groupflights throughout the next few months. One teaser left: You might want to get your frighters ready for later this year just in case there might be a smaller release. Euer Flug führt euch von Nürnberg (EDDN/NUE) nach Sylt-Westerland (EDXW/GWT). Euer Aufgabe: Nehmt eine unserer Boeing 737-800 und tankt 10t Treibstoff. Im Anflug auf Sylt werdet ihr 2 Go-Arounds und eine vollständige Landung durchführen. Wer danach den meisten Treibstoff an Bord hat, gewinnt.

Die Wartungsarbeiten sind abgeschlossen und folgendes wurde durchgeführt:

• PilotenID geändert von "SLNXXX" zu "DSGXXX"
• Alle Flüge wurden von ICAO "SLN" auf IATA "5L" geändert.

Durch diese Umstellung sind wir nun einen Schritt weiter Richtung skyline. Group, dies hat folgenden Effekt:

• Piloten gehören nun zu der skyline. Group welche auf IVAO registriert ist.
• innerhalb der skyline. Group gibt es zurzeit 3 Airlines: skyline. Virtual (Main), skyline. Holiday (SkyHoliday) und die skyline. Charter. Alle diese Airlines fliegen unter skyline. Group.

Der Login im SmarCars funktioniert weiterhin mit dem alten Login. SmarCars benötigt den "Airline Code" nicht mehr und arbeitet nur mit der ID Nummer. Man kann sich aber auch mit der registrierten mailadresse einloggen.

In Zukunft werden die Flugpläne der anderen Airlines auch auf IATA umgestellt.

Hallo liebe Skyliners,

Nun ist es wieder soweit. Es ist wieder Zeit für den skyDay.

Dieses Mal geht es am Freitag von Münster/Osnabrück ( EDDG) an den “kleinen” Flughafen Danzig (EPGD).

Allerdings haben wir noch eine kleine Herausforderung für euch eingebaut!!

Die Herausforderung besteht darin, nach zwei Touch-and-Go’s und einer Fullstop-Landing in Danzig eine durchschnittliche Landerate von -125ft/min zu erreichen.
Genutzt wird dafür nicht die beste, sondern der Mittelwert eurer drei “Aufsetzer”.
Der Pilot, welcher am nächsten an der -125ft/min Landung, dran ist, bekommt von uns die Möglichkeit am nächsten skyDay mitzuwirken.
Dabei ist es egal ob wir eine Route, eine Aufgabe oder etwas ganz anderes an diesem Tag durchführen.
Wichtig ist nur das der skyDay mit der skyline. zu tun hat.Selbstverständlich dürft ihr nur einmal da dem Event Teilnehmen, sprich der “erste” Versuch zählt.

Wir werden am Freitag mit unseren Mittelstrecken-Maschinen Danzig unsicher machen d.h. wir fliegen mit dem A319/A320 und der B738.

Los geht es am Freitag, dem 07.06.2019, um 20 Uhr lcl in der skyLounge auf unserem skyTalk skyline. Discord.

we have good news for you!
Faster than expected - is our system back online.

Also the existing skyHOLIDAY flights are now recognizable with the new tag SKH, a new plan for that is also in the works.
Thanks for all the hard work in the last months, especially to  SLN087_Jan, SLN125_Marvin and SLN381_Kevin

Due to operations, our website will be offline tomorrow (1.5.19) from 10:00 AM between 07:00PM.

Wir wollen euch die aktuellen Änderungen in der skyline. nicht vorenthalten.

Als erstes wollen wir Euch nicht vorenthalten, dass der skyline. Staff fortan nicht mehr aus zwei “Ebenen” besteht,

denn wir hatten uns bereits im Februar dazu entschlossen den Aufsichtsrat aufzulösen -

Wir bedanken uns bei allen bisherigen Mitgliedern für die getane Arbeit.

Somit gibt es nur noch einen Staff, in diesem alle Mitglieder gleich gestellt sind.

Auch die Aufgabenverteilung haben wir etwas angepasst. Dies findet Ihr wie gewohnt im #info (Discord) Channel.

Desweiteren müssen wir euch leider mitteilen, dass wir zukünftig bei dem Thema PIREP härter durchgreifen werden.

In Zukunft werden Flüge von erfahrenen Piloten mit einer Landing-Rate schlechter als -500fpm von uns abgelehnt - die letzte Landung gilt.

Wir haben auch für euch nochmal zusammengestellt, mit welchen Flugzeugen ihr alternativ Fliegen könnt - diese Regel gab es schon länger, nur jetzt richtig “Offiziell”:

319/320/321/737 können untereinander getauscht werden ebenso wie

350/330/777/787

Natürlich dürfen NUR Flugzeugtypen verwendet werden, welche wir auch in der Flotte haben, z.B. 777-300ER & 77F dürfen NICHT geflogen werden.

Falls ihr einen Tausch durchführt bitten wir euch die Passagierzahlen entsprechend eures Flugzeugtyps im skyCARS zu ändern.
